Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

Totally symmetrical in both shape and flex, the Nitro Cheap Thrills is a playful, freestyle-focused board that excels in jibbing. It performs well across the entire resort, providing a secure feel on groomers and a comfortable ride in the backcountry.

What is the Nitro Cheap Thrills snowboard made for?

The Cheap Thrills is a true twin freestyle board, always ready to ride switch. Its flexible tips allow for effortless presses and all imaginable jib manoeuvres. It's the perfect board for those who love riding with a duck stance (bindings set at -15 / +15) to perform 180s and ride switch at every opportunity. Its flat camber offers a good balance between edge hold and forgiveness on groomers and works well in powder or spring slush. Each board size benefits from a tailored core to optimise flex and performance. Finally, the Whiplash construction enhances pop for ollies, while the edges reinforced with Railkiller Edge technology are ready to tackle the rails and boxes in the terrain park.

Who is the Nitro Cheap Thrills snowboard aimed at?

This model will delight intermediate to advanced snowboarders looking for a playful board to have fun in the park. The Cheap Thrills will also suit snowboarders who primarily ride on groomers but appreciate easy-to-ride freestyle boards.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
