The Cinema is a classic in Nitro’s range, this snowboard owes its success to its easy handling and versatility, enabling you to ride on piste, in the terrain park and even off-piste. You can pick a shorter board than your usual size.

What is the program of the Nitro Cinema snowboard?

The Cinema is a directional twin shaped snowboard, it is symmetrical from nose to tail allowing to be comfortable in switch and ensuring playfulness. The slightly setback stance promotes glide in powder and handling in turns. The Cinema features a rather soft flex, letting you throw tricks with ease, both on flat ground with presses and butters and for jibbing on rails and boxes. This board offers a balance between grip, floatability and forgiveness thanks to its hybrid camber. This profile combines classic and reverse camber for an easy to ride board on any type of snow with lots of playfulness. The Cinema allows you to have fun on any terrain and in any condition depending on your wish of the moment. It floats well in powder, pivots easily and is great for flat ground tricks.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
