Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

A freeride snowboard with a very directional shape, premium construction, and very stiff flex, the Nitro Pantera demands fine technique and solid legs. It allows for maximum commitment across the entire mountain. It is part of Nitro's Carver Crue programme, which includes boards that excel in carving performance.

What is the Nitro Pantera snowboard made for?

The Pantera features a tapered shape, with a tail stiffer than the nose and significant setback inserts, making turns easier and improving float in powder. Unlike a freestyle board, it offers increased precision and control, ideal for turns. It boasts a robust and lightweight core, reinforced by a triple layer of fibreglass and longitudinal carbon reinforcements, ensuring impeccable stability at any speed. The traditional camber provides maximum grip and rebound, allowing for powerful carving on groomers. Whether in freeride or freecarve, the Pantera is a true performance machine.

Who is the Nitro Pantera snowboard aimed at?

This model is aimed at advanced to expert snowboarders who seek a powerful board to satisfy their thirst for speed and adrenaline, whether on groomers or in the backcountry. Available in large sizes and in mid-wide and wide widths, it is also ideal for riders with large feet.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
