What is the programme of the Nitro Prime Distort snowboard?

Thought for an All-Mountain practice, i.e. in the whole resort, the Prime Overlay is suitable for all types of snow. Thanks to its directional shape, its backward foot position and its accessible flex, it is very fun to ride and allows for instinctive curves, while making it easy to get off when you pass through the fresh snow at the edge of the piste or the transformed snow of a piste at the end of the day. It does not consume any energy and allows you to make a series of descents without forcing your thighs. Finally, the flat camber is the best compromise between grip on the piste and tolerance in edge faults. It's the best way to feel safe when you start to cut corners.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
