Description

The Nitro Santoku snowboard is incredibly versatile, capable of adapting to various conditions and terrains. It excels on groomers, shows great capabilities in the terrain park, and floats well in powder during backcountry sessions.

What is the Nitro Santoku snowboard made for?

The Nitro Santoku features a pronounced traditional camber, ensuring excellent edge hold on hard snow. It is agile, responsive and responds with precision. With a medium flex, it doesn't require great physical strength, offering effortless glide and ease in freestyle. Flat and jib tricks are also easy to send. However, don't underestimate the Santoku: its carbon reinforcements provide dynamic pop, for powerful turns and jumps. Although unusual for a twin-tip with traditional camber, it surprises with its float in powder.

Who is the Nitro Santoku snowboard aimed at?

This board is ideal for advanced or expert snowboarders. If you love riding every terrain, combining agility and passion, and boldly hitting the park, the Santoku is made for you. Perfect for those who want to master every corner of the resort with confidence and style.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
