The Nitro Spirit Kids is a snowboard designed for children, offering both flexibility and durability thanks to its versatile and forgiving construction. It combines all the essential features to learn at your pace and fully enjoy days on the slopes.

What is the Nitro Spirit Kids snowboard made for?

The Spirit Kids benefits from a traditional and proven construction, with a wood core reinforced with biaxial fibreglass. This design offers a soft and easy-to-handle flex while remaining lightweight and durable. The flat camber ensures good edge hold, ideal for skidded turns and learning the first carved turns, while minimising the risk of catching an edge thanks to its forgiveness. Its twin-tip shape, symmetrical between the front and back, with a centred stance, allows to ride in both directions, making it easier to learn switch riding from the start.

Who is the Nitro Spirit Kids snowboard aimed at?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
