Product description — Spirit Youth - 132

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

Designed for young snowboarders, the Nitro Spirit Youth is a board that combines intuitive handling with a sturdy construction. Its versatile design helps kids improve while allowing them to fully enjoy great sessions on the slopes.

What are the features of the Nitro Spirit Youth snowboard?

The Spirit Youth is built on a proven construction, featuring a wood core reinforced with biaxial fiberglass. This combination gives the board a pleasant flex and a playful feel, while maintaining great lightness and excellent durability. Its flat camber provides a forgiving ride, perfect for minimizing imbalances caused by edge errors. Its fully symmetrical twin-tip shape, combined with a centered stance, facilitates freestyle progression by making it easier to learn to ride switch naturally.

Who is the Nitro Spirit Youth snowboard designed for?

The Spirit Youth is ideal for kids who want to get started in snowboarding or continue improving their skills. Whether young riders are experiencing their first runs or are already gaining confidence, this board provides stability, confidence, and fun.

What are the main features of the Nitro Spirit Youth snowboard?

Accessible
Forgiving
Lightweight

Is it suitable for getting started with freestyle?

Yes. The twin-tip shape and soft flex make it easy to perform presses, butters, and ride switch once the basics are mastered.

Does it handle soft snow well?

It retains some float on slushy snow and on the edge of the run, but its focus on the groomed run limits its performance in powder.

What’s the difference between the Spirit Youth and the Spirit Kids?

Both share the same line, flat profile, and twin-tip shape. The Spirit Youth is the more flexible and forgiving of the two, designed for learning and maneuverability. The Spirit Kids is stiffer and more versatile, offering a more responsive ride across the entire mountain. The choice depends on the rider’s size and the level of flex they’re looking for.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
