Description

The Nitro Team features a directional twin shape that allows for control in turns and versatility in snow conditions, while maintaining the switch and freestyle skills of a twin-tip board. It's dynamic without being too stiff, so it's really a performance board that's playful and versatile enough to send and have fun in the resort.  

What is the Nitro Team snowboard program?  

The Nitro Team is very much an All-Mountain board. Its Powerlite Core is powerful and light without being too radical. The classic camber is well marked and provides a lot of ollie pop and grip on hard snow, for powerful take-offs on kickers and committed turns on piste. It's still pretty easy to ride, thanks to a slightly softer flex in the front and a back foot position that makes it easier to get into turns. The backwards position also provides a better exit in powder, you can easily get out of the snow, which allows you to have fun off-piste when the conditions are right. As you can see, the Team will allow you to vary the terrain as much as you want and also to send in freestyle.  

Who is the Nitro Team snowboard for?  

Accessible from the intermediate/advanced level, the Team will please a large panel of snowboarders who like to vary the terrain, to trace beautiful curves but also to do some freestyle in backcountry or in the park.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
