Description

The Nitro Team is a versatile all-mountain oriented snowboard. It offers a directional twin shape, a punchy flex that retains some playfulness, as well as an aggressive classic camber. Everything to fully enjoy your sessions on various terrains.  

What is the program of the Nitro Team snowboard?

The Nitro Team features a directional twin shape, providing lots of versatility and manoeuvrability while retaining nice freestyle capabilities. Indeed, as the tail and nose are symmetrical, it is possible to ride switch and having a proper tail at disposal is rather useful even for tricks that do not require to ride switch. The directional aspect, with inserts slightly positioned toward the back, facilitates turn initiations (when in regular) and provides automatic lift in powder. Regarding the construction, we are dealing with a wood core reinforced by glass fibre, a classic, providing a punchy flex while remaining playful at the tips. Finally, the substantial classic camber on the entire length of the board offers very good edge hold on hardpack and groomed snow and allows to fully benefit from the power of the wood core to pop big ollies and get rebound in carved turns, etc.

Able to shred on groomers, offering a good lift in powder and allowing to do some freestyle, the Nitro Team is really perfect for well-rounded snowboarders. It is accessible from the intermediate/advanced level.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
