Description

The Ride Smokescreen is a directional snowboard for an all-mountain freeride program. It has a tapered shape with a narrower tail compared to the nose, a setback foot stance and rocker on the nose. This promotes good handling and the ability to lift. The flex offered by the Performance Core reinforced by carbon at the inserts provides pop while remaining accessible with its intermediate stiffness. The Elliptical Progressive Sidecut turn radius facilitates and smoothens turn entries and provides rebound. Traditional camber between the feet ensures grip on hardpack and the urethane from the Slimewalls absorbs impacts and vibrations to provide comfort even at higher speeds. The Smokescreen allows to ride in the entire resort, it offers good performance without being too exclusive, accessible from the intermediate level, advancers riders will even be able to use for freestyle.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
