Description

Here’s a new board at Rome, the Blackjack, a freestyle all-mountain gun for entry-level riders who want a comfortable board to hone their skills on the snow. And don’t worry, people will make room for you on the slopes when they’ll see that dark and threatening skull aiming for their faces.

What can the Rome BLACKJACK snowboard do?

If when you’re on the slopes you can’t focus on just one thing and want to hit every side of the mountain, then you should give the Blackjack a serious look. Featuring a flat camber and a twin profile, the Blackjack delivers a smooth and consistent feel on the snow, with a nice and reliable hold. Reinforced with carbon and bamboo, this mid flexing board is poppy and edgy and turns out to be a fantastic freestyle performer. We loved the way it worked and felt on kickers and rails and how versatile the board actually is as it had no problem shredding the groomers for the rest of the day.

Who is the Rome BLACKJACK snowboard designed for?

This is a board suited for intermediate and advanced riders looking for a playful twin that offers manoeuverability and fun all over the mountain. The board excels at freestyling but works fine in an all-mountain use.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
