Description

With the Rossignol Gala, make your entrance into the dance! For your first steps, there's nothing better than a safe and easy to handle board. Once you have acquired the basics, you can venture anywhere making great runs with the Gala under your feet!

What is the programme of the Rossignol Gala snowboard?

The Gala has a directional shape, with a light tapered shape on the back and a foot position a few millimeters setback, all of which provides both versatility and manoeuvrability. Thanks to these technical choices, it's easier to enter curves on all types of snow and the lift is perfect in powder snow. Before going for the fresh snow on the edges of the piste, make sure you're in the right place on the piste. To do this, you can count on the camber + rockers profile, which is designed to ensure safety on hard snow, offering the necessary grip while being quite permissive regarding edge faults. Finally, the suppleness of the wood shell, light and durable, allows you to ride without getting exhausted, for beautiful days enjoying the resort!

Who is the Rossignol Gala snowboard designed for?

We recommend this model to beginners as well as to snowboarders who already have some technical knowledge but are looking to maintain accessibility and comfort. The perfect choice for riders looking to ride smoothly throughout the resort!

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
