If you are new to snowboarding or wish to progress after gaining some experience, the Rossignol Soulside board is ideal. Designed to be robust and lightweight, it will help you improve under excellent conditions.

What is the Rossignol Soulside snowboard made for?

The Soulside is a versatile snowboard, suitable for both riding on groomers and in side country powder. With its directional shape, it is narrower at the rear than at the front, the nose is longer and flexible compared to the tail, and the bindings are slightly set back. These features make the board easier to steer (with more intuitive pivoting) and improve its float in powder. The soft flex makes the board friendly and not physically challenging. Its profile combines a traditional camber for good edge hold and rockers at the tips for better manoeuvrability and easier float.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
