Description

The Templar is a so-called "directional" board, i.e. it is optimized making it easy to turn and versatile in terms of terrains. If directional and freestyle snowboards are often contrasted, the Templar remains fairly balanced which makes it an excellent model for freestyle/all-mountain as well as for the initiation to freeride!

What is the program of the Rossignol Templar snowboard?

Slightly larger in the front and shorter on the back, with a setback position of a few small centimeters, the Templar allows you to ride on all terrains while maintaining a good manoeuvrability at all times. With the weight and control shifted to the rear foot, the lift is perfect in powder and turns are made with less effort. Nevertheless, it remains balanced for switch passes. Its strong camber combined with a medium flex provides grip, pop and stability on the trail without the struggle for control. It remains very playful and fun to ride, varying between tracks, edges of the tracks and off-pistes!

Who is the Rossignol Templar snowboard designed for?

We recommend this model to snowboarders who like to vary the pleasures of riding all over the resort, without cutting themselves off from the possibility of performing a bit of freestyle. It will allow an intermediate/confirmed snowboarder to progress while maintaining playability and comfort.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
