Description

The XV is the quintessence of Rossignol's freeride section and is one of the best boards on the market. Which comes as no surprise since it was created for one of the best freeride snowboarders in the world: Xavier de Le Rue.

What is the programme of the Rossignol XV snowboard?

The Rossignol XV has a very directional shape, with a wide, pointed and rocker nose for maximum efficiency in powder snow. The shape is tighter at the tail, with a specific cut-out that provides an extra zest of lift and above all gives the board a superb look! The rear rocker is a little less pronounced maintaining a good stability when riding in hard snow, where you also benefit from an excellent grip thanks to the classic camber and the 5S wavy edges! Finally, the construction is at the height of the shape, with a powerful wooden shell reinforced with basalt and aramid providing greater energy but also better vibration absorption! All of which makes it possible to draw committed lines on all terrains, with the necessary stability and precision at all times!

Who is the Rossignol XV snowboard designed for?

This model is aimed at expert snowboarders looking for a powerful and stable board with which they can make committed off-piste runs but also bombard on the slopes by carving. One must have a support system to ride the beast!

What are the main qualities of the Rossignol XV snowboard?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
