Designed by Xavier De Le Rue, one the best freeriders in the world, the XV snowboard from Rossignol is a pure off-piste model that features remarkable power to fully exploit the potential offered by the mountains in freeride.  

What is the program of the Rossignol XV snowboard?  

The Rossignol XV features a very directional shape, with a wide, stiff and pointy nose, a tapered tail and a setback foot stance. This ensures you float in powder and manoeuvre your board easily. The profile of the XV consists of a classic camber under the feet to provide grip and power, as well as rocker at the front to be efficient in powder and a light rocker at the back to remain nimble off-piste while providing stability. The front rocker also features the AmpTeck Elite technology that stiffens the tip to offer explosive pop. The Greenlight Wood core combines the strength of paulownia wood to the elasticity of bamboo to fully optimise the power/weight ratio of the board and ensure a very punchy behaviour in powder. The XV also benefits from the L.I.T.E. Grip technology that dampens impacts on the entire length of the board and improves the torsional stiffness. Paired to the Reverse Super Directional construction that makes it extremely stiff under the front foot, you get good control over your trajectory and power. The XV is a very high-quality snowboard that will let you trace your own lines at great speed on virgin snow.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
