The Roxy Dawn is a women’s snowboard designed for a beginner or intermediate level. It combines a rather soft flex and a flat camber. It is easy to handle, not demanding physically and very forgiving. It still has some grip, for secure turns on groomed slopes. The twin-tip shape (the nose and tail are symmetrical), as well as the centred foot stance allow snowboarders to ride both ways with the Roxy Dawn. This way, you can quickly learn to ride switch, which means with your lead foot at the back, contrary to your natural stance. In addition, the very easy flex and the forgiveness when catching an edge mean the board is very playful and easy to handle, allowing to progress smoothly, without scaring yourself and even to try out some freestyle for the most advanced among you.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
