Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Salomon Assassin Pro is a directional twin snowboard, symmetrical from nose to tail, to ride switch and do some freestyle, but with a slightly setback foot stance for better manoeuvrability and versatility. It features a wood core, reinforced by carbon, and additional carbon sidewalls on the binding area for superior pop and rebound.

What is the programme of the Salomon Assassin Pro snowboard?

The Assassin Pro is a very versatile board, which allows to ride on any type of snow with lots of manoeuvrability and playfulness. Its traditional camber under foot provides good grip on hardpack, while the rocker areas on the tips allow to initiate turns more easily, while improving the lift on pow. The setback foot stance also contributes to improving the handling. Finally, the flex is responsive without being too stiff, it provides pop for ollies and rebound between turns, while remaining energy efficient.

Who is the Salomon Assassin Pro snowboard for?

We recommend this model to advanced and expert snowboarders looking for a versatile board to ride on every terrain with lots of playfulness and manoeuvrability.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
