Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

With its directional twin shape, the Assassin snowboard leans toward a versatile use. Indeed, its symmetrical shape from nose to tail provides playfulness for freestyle and allows to ride switch with ease, while the slightly setback stance facilitates the lift and improves the manoeuvrability in deep snow for freeride.

What is the program of the Salomon Assassin snowboard?

Behind this aggressive name, hides a board that wants to eliminate only one thing! Boredom! The Assassin from Salomon will enable you to ride in the entire resort and enjoy various disciplines, from carving groomers to freestyling on side hits. Inside the board, you find a wood core reinforced by two layers of biaxial glass fibre, for a smooth snow feel. The whole is stiffened by Popster Eco Boster bamboo and carbon reinforcements to improve the pop on ollies and the rebound for carving. This way, you get a board with a medium flex, able to provide both performance and playfulness. You will quickly learn how to handle it and will be able to easily send tricks. The camber + double rocker profile matches the all-round program, as the classic camber offers grip on groomed runs, while the rockers improve the manoeuvrability and lift in powder.

Who is the Salomon Assassin snowboard for?

The Assassin is recommended to intermediate and advanced level snowboarders. It will particularly please those who want to mix things up between all-mountain and freestyle riding.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
