Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Salomon Assassin is a highly versatile all-mountain freestyle snowboard, featuring a directional twin shape that excels on all types of snow and makes riding switch a breeze. With a longer nose and tail than its predecessor, it offers a perfect balance between performance and ease of use.

What is the Salomon Assassin snowboard made for?

The Assassin is equipped with a wood core reinforced with carbon fibres, providing a balanced flex for more pop and responsiveness in turns, while remaining a manoeuvrable board. Its traditional camber ensures good edge hold on hard snow, and the rocker zones at the tips increase forgiveness and improve float in fresh snow in the side country. Additionally, the slightly set-back stance helps to better engage turns and enhances float. As a consequence, you can vary terrains and indulge in freestyle at will!

Who is the Salomon Assassin snowboard aimed at?

We recommend this board for intermediate to advanced snowboarders looking to progress in freestyle, while seeking a forgiving board to maximise fun.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
