Description

The Salomon Craft is a twin-tip snowboard, ideal for freestyle yet offering versatility thanks to its camber + rockers profile. The quality of construction is better than the entry-level models from Salomon, as evidenced by the Sintered sole which offers a better glide quality than the extruded soles.

What is the Salomon Craft snowboard program?

With this Salomon board, you will be able to move to the next level in freestyle. Its perfectly symmetrical shape with a well centered foot position allows you to ride in your natural sense as well as in switch, providing a maximum of trick options. The combination of a medium flex and a classic camber allows you to easily pop ollies and secure the grip on the kickers when you're in the snowpark. These features also provide efficiency on the piste, with grip and bounce in the turns. Finally, the spatula rockers provide a little bit of tolerance during transitions from edge to edge on the track, while facilitating the passage on the edges of the track. The perfect model for fun and progression in freestyle and/or all-mountain.

Who is the Salomon Craft snowboard designed for?

This model is designed for intermediate/confirmed snowboarders, suitable for pure freestylers as well as more versatile snowboarders looking to vary the pleasures of riding all over the resort.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
