Description

The Salomon Craft is a so-called "twin-tip" snowboard, which means perfectly symmetrical between the front and back, with a well-centred foot position. This is the perfect shape for freestyle, because it allows you to ride in one direction as well as the other. On the other hand, there is a quality construction with a wood core in two layers of biaxial fiberglass, cork edges for better cushioning and more durability, and a very versatile camber + rocker profile.  

What is the program of the Salomon Craft snowboard?  

With the Craft, you'll be able to ride through the entire resort with a good amount of playability. Its favourite terrains are the piste, the edge of the piste and the snowpark, but you can also consider a little off-piste in powder when you have the necessary technique. It's easy to pick up with its not-too-stiff flex, but the Popster construction maximizes pop for toned ollies and good relaunch in turns on piste.. The grip is good but not too radical, we maintain the tolerance for fluid turns and tricks that pass more easily. The glide is perfect on the edges of the slopes when the snow is a little soft, the rockers pass well on the reliefs and on transformed snow. It is really a board pleasant to ride and evolving for varying the pleasures and placing a maximum of tricks.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
