Description

The Salomon Huck Knife twin-tip snowboard is a true freestyle machine. Its wood core reinforced with two layers of triaxial fiberglass combined with a classic camber zone well marked between the binding inserts, provides a good deal of ollie pop and responsiveness on hard snow. The rockers in the tips provide a little forgiveness and allow you to go to the edge of the piste without problems, with good glide on soft snow and small powder. It maintains some flex, which allows you to ride it easily and do presses and other jib tricks without difficulty. Playful and evolving, it will please a wide range of freestyle snowboarders from the intermediate level. Be ready to multiply tricks on the slopes, rails and kickers in the park, fun sessions in the woods near the trees, etc.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
