The Salomon Lotus is an ideal snowboard for beginners and relaxed riding thanks to its soft flex and shape that facilitates manoeuvrability and glide on all types of snow. The flat camber, backside binding inserts, BiteFree edges and poplar/birch core will help you get through your turns and runs quickly.  

What is the program of the Salomon Lotus snowboard?  

Everything on the Lotus is designed to make your days in the resort easier. Its flat camber and BiteFree edges offer a secure grip on piste, while minimizing the risk of edge errors. Plus, the backside binding inserts give you more control on the back foot, so you can lock in each turn a little easier. It also allows you to get out of the way more easily in powder, for when you're ready to go ride on the edges of the slopes and small off-piste. Finally, the soft flex contributes greatly to the board's manoeuvrability and allows you to link turns without getting tired! The perfect board to start and progress through the entire resort.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
