Description

The Salomon Oh Yeah is a twin-tip snowboard, meaning it is perfectly symmetrical from nose to tail and has a well-centred foot position. This is the perfect shape for freestyle riding as it allows you to ride in either direction. The playful flex offered by the biaxial glass fibre reinforced wood core provides a lot of comfort in the stance, allowing you to link turns without forcing but also to place tricks more easily. The camber profile with rockers at the ends of the board provides a secure grip on hard snow while maintaining forgiveness, as well as a good glide on soft snow and on the edges of the slopes. With this board, you can go down the slopes smoothly as well as in the snowpark or on the edges of the slopes to make it rain tricks and get the most out of your ride. Accessible even for beginners, the Salomon Oh Yeah will delight freestyle snowboarders who are looking for a board suitable for progressing and learning a maximum number of tricks.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
