Description

The Salomon Super 8 has a tapered shape, a slightly setback foot position, and a camber under the rear foot to give you maximum control and precision in turns. It floats smoothly in powder while providing a good grip on hard snow. The basalt and fiberglass reinforced wood core provide power and fluidity, but it's still a fairly easy and comfortable board to ride. It allows you to set the pace during descents, whether carving on piste or during off-piste sessions in search of powder, without being physically demanding. In addition, the cork and ABS insert on the nose helps to absorb vibrations for an added level of fluidity when you get up to speed. It's a very pleasant and efficient board, with which you can have fun and descend, whether it's in all-mountain or freeride.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
