Description

Santa Cruz equipped the Hanblocker with a poplar shell wedged between two biaxial fibreglass layers, for a light and tonic result. The board has a rather firm flex, which provides a good ollie pop, bounce in turns and stability when picking up speed. Santa Cruz has inserted rubber reinforcements into the ABS edges that border the board to provide more cushioning and durability.

What is the Santa Cruz Handblocker snowboard programme?

The Santa Cruz Handblocker is ideal for a freestyle/all-mountain programme, in which you can vary the rhythms and terrain as you wish. This board is equally suited for carving on the piste and for fun on the edges of the slopes, as well as for loading big kickers in the snowpark. Its construction provides you with the stability and responsiveness needed to send on the supports and trace at full speed, but the twin-tip shape and the spatulas that maintain flex, allows you to ride switch and freestyle as well!

Who is the Santa Cruz Handblocker snowboard for?

We recommend this model to intermediate to advanced snowboarders who like to ride on all terrains, varying the rhythms and with a constant focus on the idea of setting tricks at every opportunity.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
