Description

Santa Cruz has equipped the Monyo Hand with a poplar shell reinforced with a biaxial fibreglass, all of which offers a tonic flex that remains accessible. The twin-tip shape, perfectly symmetrical from nose to tail, makes it a rather freestyle model, but the camber profile provides great versatility.

What is the programme of the Santa Cruz Monyo Hand snowboard?

Thanks to its classic camber section, the Monyo Hand provides a secure grip when you ride on the piste. The combination of accessibility and responsiveness allows you to gradually build up strength. Simply warm up, link the turns, accelerate and increase speed. The Monyo Hand remains stable and we enjoy it. If you are looking to leave the groomed slopes, no problem, the spatula rockers allow you to pass through small powder snow. If the snow gets really deep, shift your weight to the back to get a better lift. Finally, the twin-tip shape allows you to switch without problems and provides balance for freestyle.

o is the Santa Cruz Monyo Hand snowboard intended for?

We recommend this model to intermediate/confirmed snowboarders looking to ride all over the resort with a mix of comfort and responsiveness. And if you are a freestyle enthusiast, treat yourself!

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
