Description

The ATV model has a light and powerful wood shell, surrounded by a double layer of triaxial fibreglass and reinforced with carbon crosses at the spatula, for greater pop, bounce and stability. A slightly directional twin, it offers grip, performance, stability and balance at the same time. As always with Slash, the spatula shape is marked with a small notch.   

What is the programme of the Slash ATV snowboard?   

The Slash ATV has been designed primarily for use in the resort and more specifically on the slopes and in the snowpark. Its classic camber is very pronounced and offers exceptional grip even on a piste or half-pipe where the snow has started to freeze. The classic camber combined with the very powerful construction provides maximum ollie pop, carving recovery and stability when accelerating. This is a tough snowboard to ride, which requires very good support, but allows you to send tricks. Symmetrical from nose to tail but with a setback position of the feet of just less than 1 centimetre, it is very comfortable in swiching and provides an extra zest of control on a regular basis.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
