Description

If you have followed Yes lines for the past few years, you've noticed they make a tribute to somebody every year. The 2015 version of The Greats honours Damian Sanders, Mike Ranquet and Jeff Brushie (to name a few), three great snowboarders who have left their mark in the industry.

But more than eloquent graphics, the Greats is a thrilling board with a great freestyle personality. Whatever the size you pick, you can rely on its 2x poplar core with Impact Blocks for meeting your demands of pop, responsiveness and dampening. The asymmetrical sidecuts make the riding incredibly intuitive and powerful for higher performance whether you ride switch or regular.

What our testers say : The Greats is hardly describable. In between playfulness and performance, the board rips when you want to rip and it plays when you want to have fun. It's got tons of pop for your park lines and tons of float for your pillow lines. The board is incredibly agile and delibers that smooth feel so common on YES boards. This versatile twin is perfect for advanced riders who want grip, precision and pop all wrapped up in a park-friendly playful package.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
