Slightly more effective than the Basic but still very playful, the YES Typo is more versatile thanks to its directional twin shape and is more aggressive due to its less pronounced rocker zones. You can improve your performance while maintaining the playability and freestyle skills you love at YES!  

What is the program of the YES Typo snowboard?  

 The Typo is a symmetrical board on which the position of the inserts is slightly reclined to provide more versatility and ease. Thus, we benefit from the symmetry for switch and freestyle, while enhancing efficiency in fresh snow and increasing manoeuvrability. The UnderBite camber and the small UnderBite edge protrusions provide good grip on hard snow, while the slightly reclined position and the spatula rockers provide a good lift. The board is really reactive on hard snow, it works well in the powder, while benefiting from a good ollie pop and a playability on the spatulas that makes you want to rain tricks!

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
