The Women's Basic from Yes is a very versatile, freestyle-oriented women’s snowboard allowing to have fun on all kinds of snow and to send plenty of tricks. Enjoyable to ride, if offers pop, playfulness and a good balance between performance and accessibility.  

What is the program of the Yes Basic snowboard?  

The Women's Basic is designed with a camber + rocker profile, a twin-tip shape and accessible flex. It offers what you need to have fun freestyling throughout the resort and features rocker at the tips to facilitate getting in and out of turns. Very versatile, this board has good bite on hard pack thanks to the UnderBite edges at the classic camber area, and remains smooth as butter on softer snow. Its soft flex is not too demanding physically, and allows to handle the board with ease, in switch and regular stance. True all-around board, the Basic gives lots of options. A board comfortable on groomers, off-piste, to slash powder or throw spins on any feature!

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
