Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Millisurf uses the best technologies from Amplid. It benefits from the BBP core, with balsa, birch and paulownia wood, as well as a Full Carbon Jacket weave providing an unbeatable power/weight ratio. It makes it ultra-lightweight to swallow elevation gains at a great pace, while being powerful and stiff in torsion to offer solid performances in the descents. Its shape is designed for powder first and foremost, with a convex nose that improves the ability to lift and the smoothness of turn entries, a tapered fish tail, as well as a slightly setback foot stance. The long classic camber area offers secure grip, be it for kick turns during the climbs or on hardpack. The result is an incredible splitboard in fresh snow that can handle various conditions with a true thirst for turning, nice stability and lots of lightness.

What are the main assets of the Amplid Millisurf splitboard?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
