Description

The Marauder is a K2 Splitboard package including the board, the climbing skins, and all the gear you need (pucks, axis, raisers) to install your splitboard bindings (Voilé system, compatible with Burton, K2, SP and Spark splitboard bindings). It's a pretty accessible splitboard designed for off-piste fun that's not too demanding on the descent.

What's on the agenda for the K2 Marauder splitboard?

The Marauder features a directional shape with a slightly-narrowed tail and a setback stance for a more direct steering and better performances on powder. Besides, the very progressive rocker on the front makes it easier to initiate turns, enhances edge-to-edges, and improves the buoyancy through the deep. On hardpack, the traditional camber and carbon stringers take over to give you more grip and stability. Thus, no matter the snow quality you'll be able to chain turns effortlessly and have a blast off-piste! With a board that splits in two to become to a pair of touring skis, the objective is well and truly to get as far as possible off the pistes!

Who is the K2 Marauder splitboard for?

We recommend the Marauder to intermediate and advanced skiers who want to discover splitboard, or even to expert snowboarders looking for a comfy and pleasant board that's not too demanding.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
