The K2 Marauder has a directional shape that makes it easy to ride on any terrain, while remaining switchable. It's a versatile and progressive splitboard that's responsive and accessible. Its construction is qualitative and robust. It comes with its skins ready to be used.   

What is the program of the splitboard K2 Marauder?   

With a front tip with more volume and rocker than the back tip and a foot position set back a little less than two centimetres, the K2 Marauder makes you enjoy a more natural lift in powder and engage easily in turns. However, you can still afford to do tricks, especially with the flex of the K2 Marauder which is dynamic without being too rigid. We find indeed a wood core reinforced with glass fibres and carbon which provides responsiveness and stability in descents, while being comfortable for the thighs. And after having taken a good climb, a little comfort is welcomed so as not to be in difficulty during the descent.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
