With the Volta from Nitro, you’ll be thrilled and will profit from the fresh air. This women's splitboard is designed to be easy to handle and energy efficient, while offering the qualities needed to take full advantage of the beautiful snow conditions. With the Nitro Volta, splitboarding is no longer reserved for high-level freeriders. Beware, a good knowledge of the mountain remains essential to venture off-piste.  

What is the program of the splitboard Nitro Volta?  

This Nitro women splitboard is equipped with a medium flex well balanced between attack and ride comfort. It can be ridden without straining, which is not a luxury after having already drained your energy during the ascent. The directional shape as well as the setback position of the feet make turns easier while providing a natural lift in the powder. The flat camber is perfect providing more tolerance on hard snow while enjoying a better glide on fresh snow. It's really a split that's pleasant to ride, rather on a soft slope type terrain and with which you'll be able to make great outings. Its forged aluminium hooks guarantee an excellent locking of the board and we advise you to get the sealskins that Nitro has designed specifically for this model (sold separately on our website).

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
