Description

The Nitro Squash Split stands out for its very directional construction, angular on the nose, thinner on the tail and concluding with a swallow tail. You'll immediately think of powder when you see it, but it also performs well on hard snow thanks to the precision offered by its classic camber.  

What does the Nitro Squash Split have to offer?  

The Squash Split features a Powerlite Core that allows for lighter weight for touring purposes, while maintaining responsiveness and stability for sending during descents. It provides a lot of control in the trajectories; we easily engage the curves thanks to the position of the feet and it allows in addition to have an automatic lift in deep snow. On hard snow, the classic camber takes over to give you an impeccable grip, while the tail, which is a little stiffer than the front, provides a good boost. Pleasant to ride, reactive and able to perform on all types of snow, this is an ideal splitboard for all-mountain riding where you want to link beautiful turns on new spots.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
