What is the programme of the Rossignol XV Split snowboard?  

The XV Split offers you everything you need to ride hard on all terrains, but also everything needed to achieve your climbs with less effort. Well, it's not the lightest splitboard on the market because to achieve such a high level of performance on the descent, you still need material, but there's nothing to panic about. As far as the ride is concerned, you benefit from an impeccable precision and stability on all types of snow. The directional shape, camber + rockers profile, wavy edges and top-of-the-range sole make the XV Split a model that excels in a powder field and in an engaged trail as well as on mixed off-piste snow! A great way to get your adrenaline pumping and get a breath of fresh air.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
