Description

The Salomon Premiere is a reference in splitboard in terms of lightness. It has a 4-part construction, more technical than traditional splitboards made in 2 parts. This method saves weight when riding and the Salomon Premiere's construction is optimized to save a few more precious grams.  

This model is sold with sealskins and hiking knives.  

What is the program of the Salomon Premiere snowboard?  

With the Premiere, you will be able to reach new dimensions, discover new landscapes, ride further, ride longer. Ultra-light, it offers great comforts during ascents. The classic camber section in the center provides a good grip during conversion climbs. Of course, this climbing performance is not uncompromising during descent, and this splitboard is not the most stable and efficient model on the market. Nevertheless, it still allows you to have fun and go through all types of snow, gripping on cut turns and floating without difficulty on powder snow. So you won't be climbing to the top for nothing!

This model is designed for confirmed/expert snowboarders, used to mountain outings and therefore with a good knowledge of the environment and its risks, looking for a splitboard designed specifically for ascents rather than performance during descent.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
