Description

Yes and Basic are two words that have to click together in minds. The Basic has become Yes' flagship, it has built its own notoriety and it has gone a long way to reach the top. The board returns in Yes 2015 catalogue with a little bit more of a freestyle DNA. It features a true twin shape and a soft flex making the board super playful. It keeps the poppy beech-reinforced poplar core bringing lightweight to its best and it comes with the notorious Camrock camber making the board nimbler and more versatile. No doubt this is going to be a hit...again.

What our testers say : The Basic is a safe pick if you're an intermediate rider looking for something easy to use, not too demanding, that allows you for riding the whole mountain. Advanced riders who like freestyling all day and who need a board that works in the park as well as in the backcountry should also have a look-in. The Basic is a board that delivers consistent performance. It's a reliable product that does what you expect with no surprises.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
