Product description — Mudtalon Speed V2 M Black Green

The Inov-8 Mudtalon Speed V2 M trail running shoes are designed for regular use on very muddy, soft and technical terrain, especially rugged trails and tracks where grip is the priority. This Wide version is intended for runners with wide feet. Fast and responsive, it is particularly suited to intermediate and advanced trail runners looking for stability and precision in difficult conditions.

The STICKYGRIP rubber outsole has been reformulated for this second generation, improving wet-slip resistance by 36% compared with the V1. The 8 mm lugs bite into soft ground and shed mud with every stride to maintain traction on steep climbs and descents.

The POWERFLOW PRO midsole provides cushioning while retaining the ground feel needed on uneven terrain. The upper includes extra drainage openings to evacuate water quickly, along with reinforced midfoot hold. This Wide version offers a roomy fit: the heel and midfoot stay secure while the forefoot gives the toes more space. Drop is 4 mm and pair weight is 532 g.

Who are they for?

  • Intermediate to advanced trail runners training regularly
  • All body weights, with a neutral gait
  • Wide feet that need more room in the forefoot
  • Greasy, very muddy and technical terrain, especially rugged trails and tracks
  • Not recommended for regular use on asphalt or dry ground: the 8 mm lugs will wear much faster on hard surfaces

Features of the Inov-8 Mudtalon Speed V2 M:

  • Outsole: STICKYGRIP rubber
  • Lugs: 8 mm
  • Midsole: POWERFLOW PRO foam
  • Fit: wide, Wide version
  • Drop: 4 mm
  • Pair weight: 532 g
  • Drainage: integrated water evacuation openings

Can they be used on roads to reach a trail?

A short road section is possible, but the 8 mm lugs are designed for soft ground and will wear significantly faster on asphalt.

What size should you choose?

This model runs short: choosing one full size above your usual size is recommended. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one.
