The Ercolina LIGHT is the latest evolution of the iconic training machine designed for upper-body conditioning for cross-country skiers. Completely re-engineered for improved portability, it features a lightweight aluminium frame, redesigned components and a thinner back plate, for a reduction of the total weight by over three kilograms compared with the standard model, while maintaining exactly the same push sensation. It faithfully replicates the skiing movement, with an adjustable magnetic resistance that performs perfectly even at high speed, delivering a smooth motion and progression very close to what is felt on snow. This weight reduction in no way compromises stability or training quality; on the contrary, it makes the unit far easier to transport. The complete Ercolina LIGHT set – including carry bag and hooks – weighs only 9.1 kg and can be taken as hand luggage when travelling or attending training camps.

The Ercolina LIGHT also offers a significant improvement in resistance, with a higher force at level 7 and a lower minimum resistance at level 0, broadening its range of use and allowing both power training for advanced athletes and technical or rehabilitation sessions. The resistance is more consistent throughout the pull, better simulating uphill effort and eliminating the initial force peak typical of the previous generation, making operation more comfortable and precise. The unit remains compact, with a height of 22 cm, a width adjustable from 54 to 75 cm, and a length of 24 cm, for a weight of only 7.87 kg without accessories.

The Ercolina LIGHT remains compatible with most standard accessories, such as the carry bag, E-PAD for rollerski training, suspension hooks, ergonomic or horizontal handles, Snaplink connectors, height adjustment kits, and the multisport ankle strap. It therefore retains all the modularity that defines the brand’s strength. The only exceptions are that it is not compatible with Power Meters or MOTO systems, which are reserved for the heavier models.
