Hiking backpacks for young adventurers
Glisshop offers a wide range of kids’ hiking backpacks. Browse our selection and discover models tailored to fit the youngest explorers. With back panels designed specifically for children and adjustable shoulder straps, these backpacks are just as technical as adult models. Your kids can comfortably carry their lunch, spare clothes, and everything they need for a day out.
How much weight can a child carry?
The maximum weight a child’s hiking backpack should carry depends on the age and build of the young adventurer. It’s generally recommended not to exceed 10% of the child’s body weight. For example, for a child weighing 30 kg, the loaded backpack should not exceed 3 kg.
To equip your child with the right backpack, Glisshop offers models in various capacities. From a first backpack for the very young to larger models for teens who need to carry more gear, there’s a backpack for every stage of a young hiker’s growth.
