Ascender Pantin

Optimizing efficiency during rope ascents requires stable, fluid support from the very first meters. The Petzl Pantin blocker is a foot blocker designed to complement a progression system consisting of a CROLL, ASCENSION or BASIC. By keeping the rope aligned under the body, it favors a more upright posture and makes movements more regular, limiting fatigue on long climbs. Its compact design means it can be left attached to the foot without interfering with walking or risking snagging. The stainless steel trigger, equipped with pins and a drain slot, ensures reliable operation even on frozen or soiled ropes. Withdrawal is as simple as bending the leg backwards. A cleat, offered as an accessory, keeps the rope engaged during ascents.
Note that the Pantin is not PPE.
