The Neo Bt Pro avalanche transceiver is Arva’s highest performance model. It features an 80 mm wide search strip and comes with a carrying pouch for maximum freedom of movement. It also features Bluetooth technology and can sync with Arva’s app to change settings, prepare your expeditions or for rescue training. This model can mark up to 4 buried people and the scrolling function allows to choose the victim you search for. In case of a second avalanche, the device automatically switches to transmit mode thanks to motion sensing technology. 

What are the advantages of the Arva Neo Bt Pro? 

This model offers 30 m more search strip width compared to the Evo 5, reaching 80 m. it can mark up to 4 victims and features 3 antennas for better precision. It can switch to stand-by mode when digging and an alarm goes off if you head in the wrong direction, keeping you in the right area. Another practical function is featured, the dynamic suppression of interferences to improve the performance in a zone of perturbation. Finally, the Auto-test function allows to check the device is in perfect working order. 

What to do in case of an avalanche? 

To find a buried victim, switch to search mode. Doing so is quite simple! A simple push on the orange side button is enough to switch between modes. Once the direction and distance are indicated on the backlit screen, simply follow the directions. The Neo Bt Pro will guide you with directional arrows to the 3 m area. From this point, the arrows disappear to let you do the final search in a cross pattern, as close to the ground as possible. Then, use the probe and dig. 

How does the multiple burial mode of the Neo Bt Pro work? 

If multiple victims are buried, the Neo Bt Pro automatically displays small icons for each victim as soon as they are detected. Once the first one is located, the position is marked, you can use the victim marking function to start searching the next victim while your teammates are digging the first and so on.
