Description

Equipped with a backlit display that offers high contrast regardless of the intensity of the ambient light and a loudspeaker that generates a precise sound, the Arva Neo Pro avalanche victim detector has all the essential features for mountain rescue. With 3 antennas that improve signal reception, it allows you to carry out precise searches with a very high degree of precision, while being very easy to use thanks to the menu that allows personalised settings. Unlike previous Arva models, the Neo Pro operates in digital mode with a search band width of up to 70 m, or in analogue mode, with a maximum range of up to 80 m.

Sold with a flexible holster, this DVA can be worn directly on the body, adapting to the morphology of each user. The Arva Neo Pro is equipped with various functions to ensure your safety when freeriding, ski touring or splitboarding:

AUTO CHECK

As soon as it is switched on, the Neo Pro launches a self-check or self-test that checks the system and makes sure that the device is actually operational. If, for example, the battery life is insufficient or if the slightest malfunction occurs while the unit is starting up, it informs you immediately.

DIGITAL MODE

With a search strip up to 70 m wide, the digital mode guides you to the area where an avalanche victim is buried.

ANALOGUE MODE

This mode extends the search band up to 80 m. This is a mode for experienced users*.

STANDBY MODE

When the Neo Pro is in standby mode, it allows the user to work on the avalanche without the unit interfering with the current search. In the event of an avalanche, the function automatically returns the DVA to transmission mode.

SCROLLING FUNCTION

This function is essential if several people are buried under the same avalanche. Indeed, it allows each victim to be targeted and the search to be organised in the most efficient way between the different rescuers.

GROUP CHECK

Very useful before each outing, this function ensures that all participants in a group have their DVAs switched on and are all operational.

U-TURN ALARM

If, as a rescuer, you pass the victim or are heading in the wrong direction, the Neo Pro alerts you, allowing you to quickly retrace your steps.

MARKING FUNCTION

The marking function allows the position of each victim to be identified once they have been spotted under the avalanche. So, while other rescuers are freeing the found victim(s), you can continue the search for another buried person.

INTERFERENCE MANAGEMENT FUNCTION

When its reception is disturbed by interference from a smartphone or walkie-talkie, the Neo Pro automatically adapts the search bandwidth to focus on the DVA signal being searched. This function can be disabled by the user.

In order to acquire in-depth knowledge in the field of avalanche prevention, to have a perfect command of your DVA and to remain fully operational when the time comes, Glisshop recommends that you follow a training course with ANENA (Association Nationale pour l'Etude de la Neige et des Avalanches - National Association for the Study of Snow and Avalanches). You can also contact the French federation of alpine clubs, where you can also train in mountain rescue and follow regular training in search of avalanche victims.
