Description
The ATC-Guide Alpine is a lighter and more compact version (only 73 grams) of the ATC-Guide, ideal when you need to save weight on your equipment. This tube style belay device can work with ropes from 6.9 and 9 mm of diameter, but performs the best with ropes between 8.1 and 8.5 mm. To make rope manipulations easier, it features a release hole compatible with small carabiners. Various friction modes provide the optimum stopping power be it when top roping or rappelling and the Guide mode offers the option to belay one or two seconding climbers.
