Description

The Grigri + belay device from Petzl is an assisted braking cam system designed for both lead and top-rope climbing, whether indoors or at crags. Particularly well-suited to training and intensive use, it features a lockable selector switch that optimises the top-rope mode to make taking in slack easier and enhance belaying comfort. In the event of a fall or when resting, rope tension activates the cam, which pivots and automatically locks the rope. The stainless steel reinforcement plate increases durability against repeated use. The ergonomic handle, equipped with an anti-panic function, halts the descent if pulled too hard. The 3:1 mechanical advantage ensures precise control of rope feed, regardless of diameter. Compatible with single dynamic ropes from 8.5 to 11 mm (optimised for 8.9 to 10.5 mm), the Grigri + retains the familiar handling of Petzl devices and offers generous tolerance on the braking side for safe, controlled belaying.
