Description
When conditions become unpredictable at altitude, the Ferrino Hekla 2 tent delivers reliable protection for demanding bivy nights, whether you’re winter trekking, alpine hiking or on expeditions exposed to strong winds. Its freestanding structure allows for easy pitching on varied terrain, even when anchoring options are limited. The frame, made from 7001 T6 hardened aluminium alloy combined with Y-Peg aluminium pegs, ensures a robust and durable build. The rain fly in 50D Double Ripstop Nylon (75 g/m²) features an aluminised polyurethane coating with thermal insulation properties and offers a waterproofness of 3,000 mm. The inner room in 70D Ripstop Polyester (44 g/m²) is treated to be both water repellent and breathable to help reduce condensation. The groundsheet in recycled 70D Polyester (95 g/m²), equipped with a thermo-insulating polyurethane coating and water repellent finish, boasts high waterproofness of 8,000 mm, ideal for wet or snowy ground. Three-layer construction enhances overall insulation. Two vestibules provide sheltered space for storing bags and boots. Vents with a storm-proof system ensure effective airflow without compromising protection. Sealed seams, a door with mosquito net, internal pockets, gear loops and an interior lamp hook complete equipment designed for multi-day trips.
