This is one of the main innovations in classic skiing for 2018, the Twin Skin Carbon propels Fischer at the head of the skin ski industry. Its construction was inspired from the best Fischer race skis but it was made more suitable for more skiers. A true revolution in the world of classic skis.
What are the specifications of the Fischer Twin Skin Carbon Medium IFP ski?
Those who are familiar with Fischer skis may recognise the shapes and the constructions of the Carbonlite or Speedmax Classic skis. Indeed, both structure and sidecuts are the same. Honeycomb core, fibreglass reinforcements, carbon tips, Fischer used its very best techs for the masses. The only difference with a race-specific ski is that it comes with skins. Named Twin Skin, they come in two thin asymmetrical strips and give the ski the performance of a race ski while providing easier traction. The carbon tip and tail maximise the maneuverability when you need to change tracks, run downhill or step turn. The ski feels stable and inspires confidence. It features a Medium camber offering the right compromise between grip and glide for optimal performance. Like every 2018 Fischer skis, the Twin Skin Carbon comes with the new IFP plate designed to host the new Turnamic bindings developed by the brand. These bindings are compatible with NNN, Prolink and of course Turnamic boots. The only standard that won’t work is the SNS.
